The main characters of the Fox animated program Futurama are:

Phillip J. Fry: Lazy, sloppy transplant from the twentieth century - "accidentally" frozen and defrosted a thousand years into the future. Fry is a lifelong delivery boy, though he dreams of being an adventurer/astronaut of some sort. Lives with best friend Bender, is attracted to Leela, dated Amy, Uncle to Hubert Farnsworth. Lacks a delta brainwave due to his being his own grandfather.

Turranga Leela: One-eyed orphan who meets Fry when he's defrosted - she was working as a cryogenics councilor. Fry shakes up her dull life, encouraging her to buck what her career chip says and become a delivery pilot with Planet Express, Fry's nephew's delivery comapny. Leela's lifelong missions are to immurse herself in a meaningful relationship and to find her parents - the latter of which she accomplishes when she discovers she's the daughter of Morris and Munda, two mutants. Her pet, Nibbler, holds more plot thread than you would think. Was the first professional female Blernsball player in the history of the sport. Mother to Kif Kroker's children.

Bender Bending Rodriguez Shiftless bending unit who loves to drink, gamble, femmebotize and steal. He meets Fry when they're both in line to use a suicide booth, and they eventually move in together. Is often thoughtless, though he does have somewhat of a soft side. Once dated the Planet Express Ship. Was once a fembot.

Hubert Farnsworth: Great-Great-Great Nephew of Fry, Hubert is a doddering oldster who is an inventor (and isn't ashamed to conduct various chicanerous experiments) and owner of Planet Express. Was once involved romantically with corporate tyrant Mom. Created clone Cubert from one of his mole scrapings.

Hermes Conrad: Serious and technically-minded accountant/beurocrat for Planet Express. A rastafanarian family man, Hermes was once a champion limboer. Husband to LaBarbara, father to Dwight. Has a long-running hatred for Zoidberg. Former limbo champion.

Doctor John Zoidberg: Decopadian company doctor. Somewhat childlike and always hapless, he has no clue how to treat the human anatomy, but is kept on the payroll because he's apparently very cheap (he's practially homeless). Has an extremely low sense of self. Once ate the Earthian flag and was nearly executed for it. Great, great, great nephew of legendary silent hologram actor Harold Zoid.

Amy Wong: Mars University student (apparently studying engineering) and sorrority member. Is of Chineese-Martian descent - her marriage-pressing family owns the entirty of the planet. Her man-hungry ways often bring her into conflict with Leela. Currently Kif's girlfriend.

Zap Brannigan: Space Lothario and incompetant camptain of the Nimbus. His extermely blunt pick-up lines do him no favor with the ladies, though he continues to think of himself as God's gift to women. Is often honored by the Earthian government for his violent campaigns against mostly-innocent and peace-loving planets.

Kif Kroker: Shy and put-upon second-in-command to Zap; is an amphibious alien supported by a system of fluid-filled bladders. Dates Amy Wong, whom he met during the sailing of the Titanic II. Was once accidentally impregnated by Leela.

Nibbler: Leela's pet, a three-eyed alien whose body waste can be easily turned into space ship fuel. Leela discovers him during "Love's Labors Lost In Space" and takes him home with her. Nibbler is actually a Niblonian, an intelligent and well-versed species that have been protecting earth for decades, and who are actually responsible for Fry being in the future. Has extremely ravenous appetite.

Other Characters:

Calculon: Hammy and well-known acting robot - star of All My Circuts. Got his talent in a deal with the devil. Bender has a major man-crush on him.

Mom: Secretly evil scion of Mom's Friendly Robot Company. Has three boneheaded sons. She still carries a torch for former co-worker Hubert Farnsworth.

Morbo and Linda: Morning and News show co-host. Linda is a pleasent talking head type, and Morbo is an alien who's forever threatening to crush humanity.

Elzar: Ruthless resteraunt owner and TV chef (obviously based on Emiril Lagasse). Bender also has a mancrush on him.

Munda and Morris: Leela's mutant, sewer-dwelling parents.

Inez and Leo Wong: Buggalo ranchers and owners of the planet Mars; Amy's marriage-and-grandchild-insisiting parents.

LaBarbara and Dwight Conrad: Hermes' curvacious and Barbados-slim loving wife and smart-alecky son, respectively.

Cubert Farnsworth: The professor's clone and future heir - a know-it-all. In boarding school on Alpha Centauri and best friends with Dwight.

Scruffy: Monoslyobic Planet Express janitor, who reffers to himself in the third person. Believes in Planet Express.

Yancy Fry: Professor Farnsworth's great great great grandfather; Fry's brother. Named son Phillip Fry, the first man on Mars, after his brother.

Michelle: Fry's girlfriend from the twentieth century; finds herself unfrozen a few years after Fry and is unable to adjust their relationship to the times. Ends up leaving Fry for Pauley Shore's head.

Mayor Poopenmeyer: Mayor of New New York.

President Nixon: The head of Nixon is elected to office in "A Head in the Polls". Is just as shiftless minus his body.

Seymour Butts: Fry's dog from the past; is cloned and meets a tragic fate, as did his predecessor.

The Robot Devil: Resides in his underground kingdom in New Jersey dolling out punishments, most of which rhyme.

Barbados Slim: Hermes' rival for LaBarbara's affection - a champion limboer.
