A B O U T

Shrek and Fiona are two characters from the Dreamworks Shrek franchise and the William Steig book "Shrek". Since the conclusion of the first Shrek, they are husband and wife, and since the conclusion of Shrek The Third they have been parents to three ogre children.

In the first film, Shrek rescues Fiona from her tower perch and dragon protector because Lord Faarquad has promised him delivering the princess to the lord's hands would lead to Shrek recieving the deed to his swamp - and the ability to evict the magical creatures taking residence there. Along the way, the twosome fall in love, despite Fiona's horrible secret and Shrek's stubborn belief in his lack of attractiveness.

In Shrek 2, Shrek and Fiona return from their honeymoon only to recieve a message from her parents requesting Fiona bring her groom to meet them in their kingdom, Far, Far Away. While Shrek clashes with the in-laws and Fiona's parents deal with her new orgess form, it's discovered that Fiona's father owes her fairy godmother the Princess' hand in marriage to her vapid knight son.

In Shrek 3, Fiona's father passes away, forcing Fiona and Shrek into new roles as King and Queen of Far, Far Away. Despairing of royal protocal, Shrek goes on a quest to bring back Fiona's cousin Artie to rule in their stead. Meanwhile, a pregnant Fiona's left to defend Far Far Away with a band of princesses against an onslaught from Charming.

In Shrek The Halls, Shrek and Fiona celebrate their first Christmas together as a family. Shrek's attempt at making everything perfect, however, results him him alienating their friends and Fiona herself.
